ICT Eye, LLC: Urgent Patient Care Policy during the COVID-19 pandemic

Dr. Burgoyne is a physician and member of the critical healthcare community and is obligated to provide emergency/urgent medical and surgical care when those services can be safely accomplished in her office using CDC / KDHE precautions.

During this period of extra precautions, routine exams and non-urgent visits will be deferred for 2-4 weeks and all other non-urgent procedures will be delayed 2-4 weeks or as instructed by State Authorities and National Governing Bodies.

Patients will be seen on an urgent/emergent basis for the following:

  1. Sudden vision loss/disturbance in one or both eyes
  2. Unexplained, persistent eye pain
  3. Sudden Onset of flashes and floaters
  4. Acute infections of the eye or adnexa
  5. Corneal exposure/paralysis/lagophthalmos
  6. Chemical/Thermal Burns
  7. Acute Corneal Abrasion
  8. Corneal Foreign Body
  9. Lacerations of the eyelid / ocular surface
  10. Trauma to the eye or eyelid/orbit
  11. Angle Closure Glaucoma/ Unstable glaucoma
  12. Unstable ocular condition/neurologic concern
  13. Rapidly growing lesion/cancer concern

At the request of the referring physician/optometrist for urgent evaluation
