What Is JUVEDERM?

JUVÉDERM® is a family of FDA-approved dermal fillers. These popular dermal fillers offer a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment option to address a variety of cosmetic concerns. They effectively provide subtle increases in volume.

These gels are formulated with a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is naturally produced by your body to ensure skin is supported and hydrated, but its production naturally declines over time. The synthetic forms are made to last longer.

• JUVÉDERM® ULTRA AND ULTRA PLUS – ULTRA is a multi-use filler which can be used to enhance the appearance of lips by may be used to plumping and balancing them. It also may be recommended to minimize the appearance of moderate to severe nasolabial folds (smile lies between nose and mouth) and parentheses lines (near lips and chin).
• JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® – VOLBELLA is used to address multiple concerns about the lips. Not only may it be used to minimize the appearance of lipstick lines, but it can serve as a method of non-surgical lip augmentation. VOLBELLA may be used to balance and enhance the size and shape of lips.
• JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ – VOLLURE can be used to minimize the appearance of moderate to severe nasolabial folds. Nasolabial folds are the lines that run from the nose to the mouth. It can also be used for lines stretching from the lips to the chin.
• JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® – VOLUMA provides targeted increases in volume. It is particularly used for the cheeks and jaw.

What Could I Expect from the Treatment Process?

There is no set downtime associated with the process, and you should be able to resume your normal daily activities. You may notice some minor bruising or swelling. However, most people enjoy results shortly after treatment. While the results will vary for each person, treatment area, and filler used, most people enjoy their results almost immediately, and the results may last for up to a few years with optimal treatment.
